PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Gameboy is an interactive sculpture that explores our impulse toward constant competition and escapism. Composed of plastic elements from various games, the piece takes the form of an alternative robot — the kind a child might assemble from their favorite pastimes. A tablet with a controller embedded at its center invites interaction, offering a momentary escape from everyday life into a playful realm. Gameboy reflects the ambivalence of play: while it fosters curiosity and skill, it can also slip into addiction when balance is lost. SPECIFICATIONS: Real objects are created in the workshop by hand, with a variety of plastic details, carved wooden elements, metal heatings, etc. A real tablet is inserted in the center, to which the controller goes. This is a kind of competition, encrusted in the art work. PLANET: Wantland EXHIBITIONS: Art Miami 2025 (Miami); Define: Seoul 2024 (Seoul); Solo Show, Icon Siam 2023 (Bangkok).
Sketch → 3D sculpting → photopolymer printing → surface finishing repeated up to five times → hand painting in two-three acrylic layers → assembly on brass pins. Every piece is painted by hand — no two are alike.
