Smiley® & Blue Laugh
A painting opening Yoomoota's collaboration with Smiley®: the gentle embrace of the character Blue Laugh — happiness in its purest form — with the iconic Smiley®, rendered in vibrant colors and minimalistic elements that make their shared energy tangible.
On December 15, 2025 the Yoomoota art project unveiled a collaboration with Smiley — the icon owned by The Smiley Company (founded 1972 by Franklin Loufrani), one of the world's top licensing companies with roughly 400 licensees worldwide and collaborations spanning LVMH, adidas, H&M and Raf Simons. The collaboration is a one-of-a-kind artwork pairing Yoomoota's Blue Laugh character with the globally recognized Smiley icon. Blue Laugh, from the Emo Planet of the Yoomoota universe, is the personification of human joy: blue-bodied, covered in a full-body smile, and 'telepathically' able to transmit smiles to whoever touches or hugs it (the standalone Blue Laugh sculpture is 25 cm, plastic and acrylic, edition of 50).
The pairing is almost self-evident: Smiley has spent five decades licensing the world's most famous symbol of happiness, and Blue Laugh is Yoomoota's own embodiment of joy — the collaboration merges the two smiles, folding a global icon into the artist's fictional cosmos.
