Tovarish & Souyz
A limited-edition sculpture, print, bomber, t-shirt and streetwear line 'Comrade & Union' (Tovarish & Souyz), inspired by Atomic Heart's utopian alternate USSR. The design draws on the Hare from 'Nu, Pogodi!', the White Rabbit from 'Alice in Wonderland' and Cheburashka. In 2025 the sculpture and poster were added to an Atomic Heart DLC.
Announced in late October 2024, the collaboration between Yoomoota and Mundfish — the studio behind Atomic Heart, the retro-futuristic Soviet shooter that reached 5 million players within three weeks of its February 2023 launch — produced 'Tovarish & Soyuz' ('Comrade & Union'), a limited-edition sculpture of 11 examples plus a silkscreen print edition of 20 (70x50 cm, $500). The artwork was integrated into Atomic Heart's third DLC, 'Enchantment Under the Sea' (released January 28, 2025, on all platforms). The characters live on Yoomoota's planet U2BeBetter ('It Used to Be Better'): Comrade blends the Hare from 'Nu, Pogodi!', the White Rabbit from 'Alice in Wonderland' and Cheburashka, with Tetris playing on screens in his ears, boots shaped like cars marked 'First' and trousers made of melchior tea-glass holders depicting the game's Twin robots; Soyuz is a robotic animal whose head mirrors Sputnik-1. The sculpture was also shown at Art Miami 2025.
Mundfish and Yoom share the same raw material — a dreamlike, alternate-reality USSR — so the studio invited the artist to fold his universe into the game itself: Yoom's sculpture physically appears inside the third DLC, making it one of the rare cases where a collectible art object exists simultaneously in the real world and inside a AAA game.
