Unveiled at Art Miami 2025 (December 2-7, Yoomoota Booth AM209), 'Another Kingdom: Game of Light' is a 2-in-1 backgammon clutch created by Taras Yoom with Albanian-American entrepreneur, collector and art patron Aureta Thomollari, known for her maximalist aesthetic. Limited to 21 handcrafted sets at $20,000 USD each, the leather-and-alcantara clutch with a paracord shoulder strap opens into a fully functional backgammon set layered from silver, brass, wood, steel, glass and acrylic. Each checker holds lab-grown rubies set beneath glass lenses that refract light into shifting chromatic patterns; production combines jewelry-grade 3D printing, casting, inlay work and leather wrapping, and every piece carries an NFC chip for digital certification and provenance.
The clutch grew out of Yoom's 'Another Kingdom' backgammon line (edition of 21, premiered at PAD London in October 2025): Aureta, a collector of the series, proposed turning the board game into a wearable object — for her, a way to transform a cherished childhood memory of backgammon into an evolving accessory built on color and light.
